‘King of Pop’ on Dangerous Tour

Pop star Michael Jackson rocked a jam-packed National Stadium in one of the most anticipated concerts in Thailand’s history.

The audience, which had waited patiently for hours inside the stadium, turned wild as soon as the show began, with many surging across a barricade into higher-priced seats, forcing everyone closer to the stage.

Jackson shocked fans by postponing his second show twice, citing dehydration. Thousands of fans who had braved torrential afternoon rains and thunder while waiting for the performance went home disappointed and angry.

The star arrived in Bangkok several days before the concerts and was seen around the city with a massive escort of police and concert officials. He was spotted shopping and he also reportedly visited Patpong’s legendary nightclub strip during his stay. The ‘Dangerous Tour’ continued on to Singapore as allegations mounted about Jackson’s relationships with children and his use of painkillers.
